Above Orgonon (Original)

Above Orgonon is inspired by the inky indigo skies I see on summer nights and one of my favourite songs ever, ‘Cloudbusting’ by Kate Bush

“I still dream of Orgonon”
Orgonon was the name of the home & research centre owned by Austrian psychiatrist Willhelm Reich. Kate Bush read his memoir in 1973 and was deeply moved by his time spent with his son and his Cloudbusting machine before he was arrested and imprisoned for his supposed crimes against the US food and drugs administration.
My father and I have a shared love of this song which makes it even more poignant for me.

‘Above Orgonon’ was created with acrylic indigo ink, graphite, Japanese paper, antique gold gilding wax and gold acrylic ink on 425gsm hot pressed Saunders Waterford watercolour paper.
