Stormy Pride – part 2 (Original)

Stormy Pride part 2 of 3.

The Brighton Pride festival is often a day flooded with early August sunshine. Not this year. This year was black skies, gale-force winds, and flash flooding. As I lay on my sofa still soggy from a quick dog walk, I found myself looking out at the swirling broody moody skies over the sea, with the dramatic breaks of bright coral and powder blues, and decided to get painting. This triptych is the result – one image wasn’t enough as the skyscape was moving so fast.

They are also float-framed in painted wooden frames that I have hand-finished with a very thin dusting of gilding wax to compliment the metallics in the paintings
