Aura – Air in Ancient Greek, is the first work in my exploration of the elemental feminine. A symbolic concept found in many spiritual traditions where feminine energy and qualities are intrinsically linked to the four classical elements: water, earth, air, and fire. Qualities like intuition, nurturing, and fluidity with water and earth, while also acknowledging the fierce, transformative power of fire.
The Greek deity Hera – (long-suffering wife of Zeus) seems to have a multitude of goddess responsibilities, but she’s also associated with the air, so I have created this first work around her. A powerful queen calling her own wildness in, and exhaling moonlit magic into an inky night sky.
